Nathan Fuentes, a Community Health & Education senior, is one of The Oracle‘s staff writers. Nathan was introduced to this class during a schedule change. This was his introduction to journalism and he has become a very good writer for the paper. He’s managed to get an internship with The Oaklandside news organization. “I didn’t know anything about journalism, but I’ve gotten good at it,” Nathan said. His only challenge with journalism is with the Do Nows because he doesn’t like doing them every day he has journalism. He likes to read and write about serious stories that happen off campus such as stories involving politics. Once his school year is over, Nathan wants to get a job, perhaps as a welder. He also hopes to get into UC Berkeley and get a degree in engineering. “Since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to be an engineer,” he said. By Jackson Masuret
